Liebster Award

Dear readers,

About twenty minutes ago I learned what a Liebster Award is. My first impressions on the name were connected to the German Language, “Liebe” in the German language means “Love”, so I figured Liebster would mean something dear or loving. I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by Emliy, whom I thank deeply.

“The Liebster award is awarded to bloggers with under 200 followers to try to promote their blog a little and also bring together a community of bloggers. The rules of the competition are as follows:

1. The nominated user must provide a link back to the person who nominated them.
2. Provide 11 facts about yourself
3. Answer 11 questions set by the person who nominated you
4. Choose 11 more people and ask them 11 questions!”

The questions that Emily asked me are as follows:

1. How are you doing today? Do anything interesting? 🙂

Since today is a Sunday, I have had enough time to enjoy with my family. The most interesting thing I did today, other than eating all day, was the blog post which I posted an hour ago.

2. What was the inspiration behind the start of your blog?

Besides fashion, I have a passion for photography. Before I blogged, I always took pictures of nature, people, outfits etc., and then saved them in my computer. One day, as I was surfing through old pictures, I realized that the photos that I had made did not deserve to just stay in my computer, so I decided to share them. The positive reactions that I was getting from people were amazing. For that, I thank you all.

3. What is your favorite thing to do on your spare time?

I am quite an energetic person, so I never sit in the same place for too long. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is cooking. In my personal opinion, when one knows the basics in cooking, they can easily turn their kitchen into a creative work of art. Besides cooking, I love writing. Every since I was a little girl I used writing as my getaway door to another world that I had created through writing. Writing also helps me relieve stress.

4. If there was nothing stopping you, what would your dream job be?

I would probably be a blogger. I would pay a photographer to follow me anywhere I go and I would just write all day and take pictures and wear clothes. However, I would probably like to be a general blogger, meaning that I would not like to focus only on fashion, rather I would include other things that are of matter.

5. What is one object that you couldn’t live without?

My camera. Definitely.

6. What trait do you value most in a best friend?

I value loyalty the most. And also being a good listener…and funny.

7. What/who inspires you?

The person who inspires me the most is my mother. She is the most creative person I know. Instead of singing me lullabies when I was little, she used to sing me songs of Whitney Houston, Bob Dylan and The Beatles. She taught me the basics of almost everything, and I owe her my creativity.

8. What song(s) do you like to listen to when you study/work?

I love listening to tracks on 8tracks.com, I always search for studying and the website generates playlists related to studying. I love indie, soul, classic rock, bootleg versions etc.

9. What is one experience that especially changed you as a person?

Even though I cannot remember any other experience, I think that the one that has changed me as a person is my experience in Germany in a summer camp. Throughout this trip, I was firstly introduced and more connected to terms like diversity, culture and friendship, and I remember every detail of that summer as if it was my only one.

10. What is 1 thing from your childhood that you would like to re-live?

I would like to re-live the sense of non-complexity. By non-complexity I mean the feeling of being free and not caring whether the shirt you are wearing does not match your trousers or whether the hamburger you are eating has too much carbs. And if possible, I would prefer taking this feeling and transferring it into the person that I am today.

11. What are 3 of your future goals?

Get a bachelors and masters degree.

Travel throughout Europe (even farther if possible).

Maintain stability and balance within myself.

Yours truly,

Digital journal of my very essence. I share everything I like and believe in, with the ultimate purpose of inspiring you.

  1. Oh, I actually didn’t know that Liebe meant love in German! I’ve learned something new today.

I had a great time reading your responses, thanks for participating! I didn’t know how much we had in common, haha, it was almost like reading a self-biography. I especially liked your answer to #10. The freedom of being a child is one that I would like to re-live too, with no worries, no homework, just a bunch of free-time, haha.

Well I look forward to your future posts!
