Being away from the city for a couple of days helped me realize how important a calm place can be to people. Since I live in Prishtina, the capital city of Kosovo, I sometimes get carried away in daily routines. The village where my grandmother lives in is a calm and lonely place. Vegetables, fruits, flowers and birds surround the house. Each morning that I woke up I heard birds singing and took my time to be grateful to all of the beauties of nature. Since there was hardly any wireless connection (which was great), I took my camera around and photographed everything. I sometimes felt like an ethnographer who was doing her research in a village far from the city.
Two days away from the city helped me recover and get my strength back. I would encourage anyone who is in need for a relaxation to go to a village somewhere far from the city and experience the village life closely.
