“Time flies” is probably an expression which we all hear often but are unaware of its real meaning until we look back and witness it. Lucky for me, this year has been one of the best years I’ve ever had. Today I got into thinking and asked myself why was this year better, was it because I decided to make it better or the circumstances were better? Not wanting to get into a free will vs. determinism topic, but I believe that most of what happens to a person is just random or a chain of events, but the most important thing is your reaction to it. How you react to certain events, determines your attitude and whether you want to make the best out of it or not.
This year I traveled a lot and learned a lot. My 2014 traveling experience started from January when I traveled to Bansko, and then continued with me traveling to London, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Geneva and Bansko (again). People I met and places I visited helped me develop my personality little by little and literally gave me a bag full of memories. I am thankful.
This year was a great year for special bonds as-well. I got to strengthen my relationship with some friends whom I consider very close now. I still remember all the stress, tears, all-nighters, laughs, pranks, drink-drank-drunk moments that we went through this year. I am thankful.

An apology I owe to someone:
Before we pop the champagne and celebrate the new year, let’s stop, and reflect on the year that has gone by, to remember both our triumphs and our missteps, our promises made and broken, the times we opened ourselves up to great adventures… or closed ourselves down for fear of getting hurt, because that’s what new year’s all about , getting another chance, a chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more, and to stop worrying about what if… and start embracing what will be. Let’s remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other, and not just tonight but all year long.
Sometimes it feels like there are so many things in this world we can’t control. Earthquakes, floods, reality shows… But it’s important to remember the things that we can. Like forgiveness, second chances, fresh starts… Because the one thing that turns the world from the longing place to a beautiful place… is love. Love and any of its forms. Love gives us hope… Hope for the New Year. That’s what New Year’s Eve is to me. Hope and a great party!

Yours truly the last time for this year,
